On February 11, the 2026 Spring Festival on-campus student reunion luncheon was held simultaneously across three campuses.

The luncheon began at 11:30 a.m., with festive and joyful atmospheres filling the dining halls across the three campuses. Cheerful spring-themed music complemented the bright red New Year decorations. Undergraduate, graduate, and international student representatives from various colleges arrived and took their seats around tables with teachers, sharing the warm and familial moment together.

University leaders extended warm greetings to students who chose to stay on campus for reasons such as scientific research, internships, or long distances from home. They conveyed sincere Spring Festival blessings to the students and their families back home. The leaders encouraged students to use the holiday as an opportunity to recharge, manage their time wisely, maintain healthy routines, pay attention to dormitory and laboratory safety, strengthen self-protection, stay in regular contact with family, and gather strength through dedication and perseverance to achieve growth and new hopes in the coming year.

Student speeches were heartfelt and moving. Chengdu campus undergraduate Cheng Yi from the College of Environment shared his experience of participating in scientific research and choosing to stay on campus for self-improvement, expressing his determination to cherish this holiday time and live up to the university’s care. Doctoral student Zhang Wenxin from the Animal Nutrition and Feed Science program said that her research had entered a critical phase, and staying on campus was both a responsibility and a mission: "With the university as our strong support, we can focus more confidently on experiments and overcoming challenges." International student representative Joshi Prajina delivered a New Year greeting in Chinese, thanking the university for its care and support in her studies and daily life, and expressing her commitment to continue studying hard and serve as a friendly ambassador for cultural exchange between China and her home country. Ya'an campus student Shahriar Islam, a Bangladeshi doctoral student from the College of Food Science, also spoke in turn, expressing his determination to move forward with resolve like galloping horses and achieve new breakthroughs in their academic fields in the new year.

SAU has consistently adhered to the principle of "care unchanged, services undiminished," coordinating accommodations, dining services, safety assurance, and cultural activities to ensure that every on-campus student can study with peace of mind and spend the festival warmly.
