‎Recently, the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Sichuan Province released‎‎ the results of ‎‎the 2021 special funding evaluation of postdoctoral research projects in Sichuan Province, 24 postdoctoral students from enterprises, universities, scientific research institutes and other units were selected. Three postdoctoral fellows in our university, including Muhammad Ihtisham under the guidance of Professor Liu Yinggao and Chen Qibing of the Forestry College, Cao Yao under the guidance of Professor Huang Yubi of the School of Agriculture, and Xu Jingyun under the guidance of Professor Yang Guangyou from the School of Veterinary Medicine, received third-class special funding, with a total funding of 150,000 RMB, whcih is the second largest number of projects and the second largest amount of funding in Sichuan.

It is reported that in order to cultivate high-level young innovative talents and promote outstanding postdoctoral research with development potential and innovative ability, the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Sichuan Province conducts special funding applications for postdoctoral research projects in the first half of each year. The project is divided into three levels, the first-class funding is 100,000 RMB for each project, the second-class funding is 80,000 RMB for each project, and the third-class funding is 50,000 RMB for each project. The funding is mainly used to purchase the equipment, experimental materials, books and materials, the hiring of assistants and participation in academic conferences and academic exchange activities.
