1.University Overview

Sichuan Agricultural University (SAU) has a long history of more than 110 years, consists of three campuses: Ya'an, Chengdu and Dujiangyan.It has 27 colleges, 4 research institutes and 2 national key laboratories, covering 10 disciplines: Agronomy, Science, Engineering, Economics, Management, Medicine, Literature, Pedagogy, Law and Art.

2.Enrollment Plan

Enrollment plan for full-time Master students is 30.

3. Length of Schooling and Length of Study

(1) Length of schooling: 3 years

(2) The maximum length of study (including suspension) shall  not exceed 4 years.

4. Basic Admission Requirements

(1) Good physical and mental health

(2) Bachelor degree

(3) Under the age of 35

5. Application Schedule

January 5^th, 2024 to June 15^th, 2024

6. Application Documents

1) Valid passport,applicants in China are required to provide residence permit page

2) Notarized Bachelor Degree certificate in English or Chinese. (This year’s graduate should submit diploma at the latest when register)

3) Notarized transcript in English or Chinese

4) Acceptance Letter of host-supervisor (click for supervisors list)

5) Personal Resume/CV

6) Study plan or research proposal drawn up jointly with the host-supervisor

7) Language Certificate (for program taught in Chinese: HSK 5; for program taught in English: Non-native English speakers should submit IELTS>5.5, TOEFL>70.Other international standard tests are also acceptable, language proficiency certificate from your school can be taken into consideration)

8) Two recommendation letters in Chinese or English (referrer’s phone number and email addressneed to be attached)

9) Valid medical certificate

10) Certificate of Non-criminal Record

11) Financial statement

12) Other supporting materials including sports, arts and other relevant awards and certificates

Note: 1) In addition to the above materials, supplementary materials maybe required to provide depending on the circumstances.

2) The applicationwill not be accepted if the application materials are incomplete.

7.How To Apply

Step 1:Get Acceptance Letter from supervisor, click for supervisors list.

Step 2:Register in the Online System http://appghc.sicau.edu.cn, upload the Acceptance Letter, fill in personal information and scholarship application form.

Step 3:Submit application documents online.

Step 4:Pay application fee:RMB 600 (non-refundable).

Two ways of payment:

1) Pay at the International Student Office of SAU.

2)Bank transfer, please pay according to the following bank information and submit payment vouchers in the online system.

8.Admission Results

International Student Office will send email to admitted students and the applicants may check admission status via the Online Application System.

9. Scholarships

International students can apply for university scholarship, the standard is tuition waiver and living allowance RMB 7600/year for the first year, from the second year RMB 4600/year-13600/year.

In addition to university scholarship, students can also apply for Sichuan Government Scholarship (SGS) ，Chengdu Government Sister-Cities Scholarships ，Chengdu Government “The Belt and Road” Scholarship. and Yaan Government Scholarship.

10. Costs

1) Application Fee(Non-refundable):RMB 600

2) Tuition:RMB 16,000/Year(can be waived for scholarship students)

3) Accommodation

★Notes:a. Rental fee of air conditioner is required:400Yuan/room/year

b. For each room, there is a fixed amount of free water and electricity, and the extra amount will be paid by students themselves.

4) Other cost

Insurance: RMB 800/year

Residence Permit: RMB 400/year

Physical Examination: 500 Yuan
